Fran du Plessis
Fran is both an advocate of the Supreme Court of South Africa as well as a chartered accountant. She is also an ad hoc lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of Stellenbosch, was instrumental in the establishment of the Masters degree in Taxation at the University of Pretoria, and is the author and co-author of several books on taxation.

André du Plessis
André qualified as a chartered accountant in 1987 and in the same year also received a Diploma in Datametrics (Database Studies) from UNISA. During the early years of the LDP group André was responsible for the establishment of the auditing and accounting practice.

André is responsible for the formalisation of the international associations which provide the clients of the LDP group with all the options needed in this era of global trade and investment.
Johan Pretorius
Johan practised as a chartered accountant in Bloemfontein and Mossel Bay for twelve years before joining LDP as a director on 1 March 1999. He studied at the University of the Free State and completed his postgraduate studies at UNISA.

Pieter-Jan Bestbier
Pieter-Jan matriculated at the Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch, was awarded his B Acc degree cum laude at the University of Stellenbosch and, after completing his B Acc (Hons) degree he joined the Windhoek office of Deloitte & Touche where he completed his articles. As audit manager he worked on several multi-national audits ranging from mining to banking. He was also instrumental in the listing of Namibia Breweries on the Namibian Stock Exchange. He obtained a Certificate in Taxation at UNISA and became a director in 1998.
His intimate knowledge of local business conditions assisted him in building a significant practice in the locality, especially in the wine industry. Pieter-Jan is the auditor of several well-known wine estates and merchants in and around Stellenbosch and Paarl.He specialises in

Jana Goosen
Jana began her career in auditing by obtaining her BAcc and BAcc Honours degrees at the University of Stellenbosch. She commenced her articles at LDP Inc in 2002 and, after completion, gained international audit exposure at Mayer Hoffman McCann PC based in San Diego. After four years she returned to LDP Inc in the post of audit manager and went on to become the youngest LDP director at the start of 2011.
Jana has significant technical experience including
- United States GAAP and IFRS proficiency
- the audits of listed companies and large private groups.
Industry experience includes technology, software, professional services and consumer products.
Iaan Marx
Iaan matriculated from Gill College in Somerset East in 1992 and graduated from the University of Stellenbosch and UNISA before commencing his articles under the watchful eye of Johan Pretorius in Mossel Bay. He completed his articles with André du Plessis in LDP’s Stellenbosch office at the end of 1999 after which he became audit manager until 2001. In January 2002, at the age of 27, he became a director of the LDP group after displaying his skill and ability as a chartered accountant responsible for a diverse group of clients.

Francois Geldenhuys
Francois completed his first Honours degree in Business Economics at the University of Stellenbosch. A second Honours degree in Accounting through UNISA soon followed. After the completion of his articles, he became an audit manager at LDP for 2 years and then left the audit profession to pursue a career in banking. He joined Boland PKS (now Nedbank) in 1998 and within 2 years was promoted to head of credit at BoE Business Bank for the Gauteng, Free State, Natal and Mpumalanga regions. During 2003 he was approached by LDP to join them as a director and he currently heads the accounting division.

Francois Joubert
Francois matriculated from Swartland High School in Malmesbury and graduated from the University of Stellenbosch. He commenced his articles in 1996 at Coopers & Lybrand, now part of PwC, in Worcester where he obtained his CA (SA) qualification in 1998. After the completion of his articles, he joined Price Waterhouse, now part of PwC, in Romania and accepted the role as audit manager in Assurance/Business Advisory services on 1 October 1998. In mid-2000 he joined Ernst & Young in Sydney, Australia, as audit manager, also specialising in Assurance/Business Advisory services. At the beginning of 2002 he joined the LDP Group as audit manager and became a partner in January 2006.

Jock de Jager
Jock was appointed as managing director of LDP after a career in education spanning 36 years, ending as rector of the Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch in March 2007.
LDP has expanded rapidly over the past few years and with a staff complement of more than 130, the need for someone to focus exclusively on the
- execution of company policy
- the pursuance of strategic aims and
- the management of personnel
had become of paramount importance.
Jock’s field of expertise and experience enables him to make a significant contribution towards shaping LDP into the best medium-sized firm of business advisers and auditors in the country.

Richard Rhoda
In addition to qualifying as a CA(SA), Richard completed the Advanced Executive Programme (Unisa) and the Tier 1 IPFA (Institute of Public Finance and Auditing. Richard was responsible for the Cape Town office of Gobodo Inc before he joined LDP in 2011. At Gobodo he managed external audits both in the Public and Private sector. He was also nationally responsible for the internal audit and risk management division.
He has vast experience in the public sector and was responsible for AG assignments and internal audits.
His professional experience includes:

- 10 years experience in internal audit and risk management consulting with PwC

- co-sourcing or full outsourcing of internal audit assignments
