Globalisation has led to a dramatic change in investment and business possibilities. The LDP group pro-actively identified this shift, recognised the importance of being associated with an international group of audit professionals and became a member of Independent Accountants International (AI), with accounting firms located in Europe, North and South America, the Far East and Australasia. Thereafter two mergers followed - in 2004 with a similar organisation, Polaris Independent Accountants International, to form Polaris International (PI) and in 2011 with the North American associations IGAF and Fidunion to form IGAF Polaris. This resulted in more than 800 offices of independent firms world-wide being linked together.
